Wednesday, 5 March 2025: Woolworths is once again joining forces with Share the Dignity to support their bi-annual Dignity Drive, working to provide menstrual equity for all.
For every period care product purchased in-store or online at Woolworths supermarkets until 31/3/25, five cents will be donated to Share the Dignity. These funds will help provide free period care products to those in need and maintain over 107 Dignity Vending Machines across Australia.
A number of offers will be available to all customers shopping in store and online throughout the month across the period care range, including half price on the U by Kotex range for the next week until 11/3/25.
Pink collection boxes will also be available in all Woolworths Supermarkets for customers who would like to donate any period care products that are in their original packaging, including pads, tampons, menstrual cups, period undies, reusable pads, as well as incontinence aids.
Woolworths Supermarkets Community Programs Manager, Loretta Arrastia, said: "There’s always a lot of passion for the Dignity Drives in our stores, with many team members dressing in pink and hosting events to support Share the Dignity. We’d like to thank all of our customers and team members for their ongoing support.”
Woolworths has partnered with Share the Dignity since 2019, with more than $3 million raised through various Dignity Drives and fundraising events. These donations have helped fund over 107 of Share the Dignity’s Dignity Vending Machines, which provide free period care in community centres, domestic violence refuges, homeless shelters and other organisations supporting vulnerable community members.
Share the Dignity Founder and Managing Director, Rochelle Courtenay, said, “We’ve accomplished so much over the last 10 years and I’m so proud of the work that we’ve done, but there is still so much more to do.
“No one who menstruates should have to experience the indignity of having to substitute period products and so we must rally together to ensure no one has to face period poverty alone.”
