- Woolworths unlocks a million more online delivery and pick up slots for the festive season
- Woolworths is offering free delivery on orders over $150 from midday Monday 1 December - midnight Friday 5 December to celebrate the kickstart of the summer season
Monday 1st December 2025: Woolworths will offer customers more convenience than ever before for their festive shop, releasing an additional one million online order slots across Australia in the lead up to Christmas.
The significant increase in delivery capacity compared to last year is designed to help more Australians manage the busy festive period, allowing them to place their Christmas order online and have it delivered or ready for pick up from their local store at a time that suits them. The extra capacity will be available across Woolworths Delivery, Direct to Boot and Delivery Now, giving customers a range of options:
Delivery Now: For last minute needs, customers can use our 'Delivery Now' service to have groceries delivered to them in under two hours.
Direct to Boot: A free and convenient pick up option where a Woolworths team member packs the order directly into the customer's car boot at a designated time at their local store.
Delivery: Customers can plan ahead and book a scheduled delivery window to their home for their full Christmas shop.
Woolworths Group CEO, Amanda Bardwell, said: “This investment is about making the Christmas shop that little bit easier for our customers.
"We know Christmas is an exciting but incredibly busy time, as families juggle end of year commitments with preparing for their festive celebrations.
"By opening up an extra million order slots, we're giving our customers more flexibility to choose a time and way to shop that works for them.
"Whether it's planning the big shop in advance with a Delivery or Direct to Boot slot, or getting those last minute forgotten ingredients via Delivery Now, we’re committed to helping our customers shop for Christmas their way."
Over the season, Woolworths expects to fulfill more than 4 million online orders, including over 2.4 million delivery orders and over 1.6 million pick ups. In the last quarter eCommerce sales at Woolworths, sales grew year on year by 12.9%, while faster delivery and pick under two hours with Delivery Now increased by 39% as customers seek greater convenience.
