New Woolworths and BIG W Art Bags
  • Woolworths and BIG W launch a new reusable bag collection made from 85 per cent recycled materials.

  • 20 cents from every bag sold directly supports OzHarvest and BIG W’s children’s hospital and research partners nationwide.

21 October 2026: Customers at Woolworths and BIG W will find a new reusable Art Bag collection in-store and online this week, showcasing original designs that celebrate Australia’s native landscapes and fresh local produce.

With designs created in collaboration with local artist Leah Bartholomew, the range features vibrant artworks, and helps raise funds for families in need across the country.

For every bag sold across Woolworths Supermarkets and BIG W, 20 cents will be donated directly to key charity partners. Sales from the Woolworths bags will help its longstanding partner OzHarvest deliver nourishing meals to Australians facing food insecurity. Sales from BIG W bags will support children's hospitals and research partners across Australia, fueling their vital work for children and families in need.

Hally Lara, Chief Marketing Officer at OzHarvest, said: "More people than ever are in need of food relief, with our research showing more than one in three are accessing support for the first time. We're so grateful for our longstanding partnership with our national food rescue partner Woolworths, and to every customer who picks up an Art Bag - together, you're helping us provide even more meals to people who are doing it tough."

Kristina Keneally, CEO of Sydney Children's Hospitals Foundation, said: "Art can make a meaningful difference to a child's healthcare journey, creating moments of creativity, comfort and connection when they are needed most. Through the generosity of our community, Sydney Children's Hospitals Foundation helps support programs that enhance the experience of children and families across Sydney Children's Hospitals Network. Every Art Bag purchased at BIG W helps ensure children can benefit from the care and support they need, while helping create a brighter future for sick kids."

There are five unique $2 designs in the collection:.

  • At Woolworths Supermarkets, customers can shop three designs inspired by fresh seasonal produce, native flora, and local gardens: ‘Harvest’, ‘Bloom’, and ‘Alfresco’.

  • At BIG W, the ‘Togetherness’ designs are inspired by Australian lifestyle, blending stylised views of the sun, beach, and local flora with familiar homewares patterns.

Leah Bartholomew said: "Partnering with Woolworths and BIG W felt like such a natural fit. The collection’s design was inspired by BIG W’s everyday homewares and the vibrant textures of Australia’s natural landscape. I wanted to blend playful patterns with stylised views of our sun, beaches, and local flora to capture the bright, simple joy of family life.

“Having spent years creating artwork for hospitals, I know how powerful design can be in transforming a space - especially for children and families navigating a tough stay. I’m delighted to bring these bags to life while supporting the incredible work of both OzHarvest and BIG W’s children’s hospital and research partners across the country."

Rhonda Ma, Category Manager for Bags, said: “While so many of our customers already bring their own reusable bags when they shop with us, this new range gives them a beautiful new option to add to their collections, while giving back to the communities we serve every day.

“We know our shoppers love beautiful designs, which is why we’ve partnered with incredibly talented Aussie artist Leah Bartholomew to bring her artistic flair to the checkout.”

The bags are made using 85 per cent recycled materials. They are available for $2 in-store and online now at Woolworths Supermarkets, Metro stores and BIG W stores.
