Background and experience: Maxine has extensive corporate advisory experience, particularly in mergers and acquisitions and corporate restructures. She is a former Managing Director of Investment Banking at Investec Bank Limited Australia. She also practised as a corporate lawyer with Freehill Hollingdale & Page (now Herbert Smith Freehills) and spent several years as a lecturer in the Faculty of Law at both the University of NSW and the University of Sydney. She was previously a Director of Orica Limited (April 2013 to December 2022), Growthpoint Properties Australia Limited (March 2012 to November 2020), Qantas Airways Limited (August 2013 to February 2024) and Origin Energy (November 2013 to October 2025).
Other roles: Telstra Group Limited (since February 2023), Brambles (since December 2024) and a member of the University of NSW Council.
