Monday 5 July 2021: A total of 68 past and present Olympians and Paralympians have been revealed as the featured athletes on stickers in the Woolworths Aussie Heroes collectible, to celebrate this year’s Australian team as they make their way to the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics and Paralympics.

From this Wednesday 7 July, for every $20 spent in store or online, Woolworths customers can collect an Aussie Heroes sticker pack to build into their own Olympic and Paralympic themed collector album.

From Saya Sakakibara to Michael Klim, and Samantha Kerr, a range of sports are represented in the collectible range. Each sticker features information on the athlete - including their birthdate, accomplishments, and even their favourite fruit or vegetable, inspiring kids to explore healthier foods from a younger age to reach their full potential.

Woolworths is the Fresh food partner of the Australian Olympic and Paralympic teams.

Woolworths Chief Marketing Officer Andrew Hicks said: “Sport and fresh food have a natural connection and a way of bringing Australians together.

“As the long standing fresh food partner of the Australian Olympic and Paralympic teams, our goal with this collectible is to celebrate some of Australia’s greatest athletes and future champions, as well inspire younger generations to live active and healthy lifestyles.”

Olympic BMX Supercross Rider, Saya Sakakibara said: “I’m honoured to be part of this collectibles range with Woolworths that features my fellow Australian athletes. Not only does it showcase my passion for BMX riding, but it also champions Aussie athletes’ sporting achievements and the dedication of past and present sporting heroes.

“Having been a BMX rider since 2007, I hope this collectibles range encourages Aussie kids to get active and inspires them to have a go at all different sports. I’m proud to be representing Australia at the Games and hope all Aussies come together to get behind the team as we hope to make history in Tokyo”.

To further support our Paralympic team, customers are invited to make a donation to Paralympics Australia in Woolworths stores.

All funds donated will help our Paralympic team get set to soar in Tokyo and provide opportunities to grow our future champions in para-sport.  From Wednesday 7 July, customers can round up their purchase on self checkouts, or make a donation of any amount on our serviced checkouts.

Customers can collect a bonus sticker pack when they purchase a participating product (capped at three per purchase). A Woolworths Aussie Heroes collector case will also be available for $3.00, while supplies last.
