Monday, 23 September 2024: Woolworths has made major changes to its burger range, introducing a brand new lineup of burgers for customers.

There are 16 new burger products that have been designed and developed to cater to a growing number of shoppers who are looking for quality ‘dine-in’ at home options. It comes as the new Burger Consumption Report found 44% of Australians like to have burgers at home, but don’t think they can make restaurant style burgers.

The growing dine-in at home trend played a significant role in the burger revamp, and the number of customers cutting back on eating out and entertainment rose again in the last quarter as many look to manage their budgets.

Managing Director of Woolworths Food Company, Louis Eggar, said: “Burgers continue to be a foodie favourite, and restaurants are always finding ways to make them even better. We were inspired by that energy and created a new supermarket burger range that's not just convenient, but juicy, flavourful, and truly satisfying."

“Our teams worked alongside our world-class manufacturing partner Hilton Foods for over twelve months to reimagine the style of burger to meet customers expectations for a better at home dining experience. We’re confident that our new range delivers the texture and taste you’d expect from a burger chain, an experience that is both affordable and delicious, allowing customers to recreate restaurant style burgers at home.”

Research also found that 1 in 2 (50%) Australians agree they’d make burgers at home more if it was more affordable, a number that rose to 56% for families and 67% for 18-29 year olds.

Woolworths' new burger range goes beyond the standard patty, offering a variety of options for different occasions. There’s the classic Woolworths Beef Burger 4 pack from $8.00 for the casual dining experience; the Stacker 6 pack ($8.00) for those who like double or triple deckers; the Smash Burger 6 pack ($8.00) for fakeaway fans; the Slider Beef Burger 8 pack ($8.00) for entertaining; and the Wagyu Beef Burger 2 pack ($10.00) for the burger connoisseurs.

Woolworths Home Burger range is now available in all Woolworths supermarkets and online. Head to: https://www.woolworths.com.au/shop/productgroup/2024-shop-the-ww-burger-range
