Thursday, 25 May 2023: Woolworths Group’s rapid delivery offering Metro60 has been rebranded to MILKRUN - now powered by Metro, as the service continues its expansion.
It comes as more and more time-poor customers pursue quick and convenient ways to shop, with bananas and top-ups of household essentials proving popular orders.
Woolworths Group CEO Brad Banducci said: “We’ve long admired MILKRUN’s innovative brand, dedication to customers and ambition to shake up the grocery delivery model.
“We are thrilled that the MILKRUN story will continue to live on and thrive with Metro60 relaunching as MILKRUN now powered by Metro.
“Orders will be fulfilled from our network of Metro stores, which will give customers the choice of over 10,000 product lines including hot roast chickens, fresh sushi and much more.”
To mark the start of MILKRUN now powered by Metro, a new promotion is available with no delivery fees on any new customers’ first three orders.
Everyday Rewards members will also earn Everyday Rewards points with each purchase.
Orders will be fulfilled via the current Metro60 model, which uses third party couriers and achieves an average delivery time of 33 minutes.
MILKRUN now powered by Metro is available in over 500 suburbs across Sydney, Newcastle, Canberra, Brisbane, the Gold Coast and Melbourne.
The MILKRUN now powered by Metro app is available on Apple’s App Store and Google Play. More information is available at metro60.com.au/milkrun
