29 July 2026: This August Woolworths customers can help Aussies in need access essential period care, with five cents from every period care item purchased in-store and online donated to Share the Dignity.
The donations made by Woolworths will support Share the Dignity to maintain its national network of more than 110 Dignity Vending Machines, which provide free period care in essential community hubs, shelters, domestic violence refuges, hospitals and schools.
A number of offers on period care products will also be available to customers. From today until Wednesday 5 August, customers can access half-price U by Kotex products in-store and online, alongside a massive 10x Everyday Rewards points offer across the entire period care range.
As part of the August Dignity Drive, pink collection boxes have also returned to the front of all Woolworths supermarkets. Customers can make direct donations of period care products in their original packaging, including:
Pads and tampons
Menstrual cups, menstrual discs and period undies
Reusable pads and incontinence aids
Woolworths Community Partnerships Manager Loretta Arrastia said: “We always look forward to this time of year, and it’s wonderful to see the August Dignity Drive come around once again. There is such an incredible buzz and enthusiasm from our store teams and customers as the pink boxes return to the front of our stores.
“We are so grateful to every shopper who supports Share the Dignity. Thanks to that ongoing, collective community spirit, we have collected more than 1.5 million period products over the last seven years to help ensure no one has to go without essential care.”
Share the Dignity Founding and Managing Director, Rochelle Courtenay said: "We're incredibly grateful to Woolworths and their customers for standing with us once again for the August Dignity Drive. Every act of kindness makes an enormous difference.
"Every pack donated means someone who simply cannot afford period products right now won't have to go without. It's far more than a donation of pads or tampons; it's dignity, relief and the reassurance that someone cares.
"No one should have to miss school, work or everyday life because they can't afford the basics. Together with Woolworths and the incredible generosity of their customers, we're helping ensure women and girls across Australia have access to the essential products they deserve."
Since 2019, Woolworths has donated more than $3.5 million to Share the Dignity through multiple Dignity Drives.
